James Van Arsdale earned a BFA from the University of Texas at Austin and an MFA from the Meadows School of the Arts at Southern Methodist University. Van Arsdale has exhibited his creative work and installations in many exhibitions throughout the US and has over 15 years of experience as a creative professional. As partner and co-founder of Myopia, he oversees all projects. In Fall of 2017, Van Arsdale became head of the Graphic Design department at Santa Barbara City College; he remains involved in Myopia Design as the Art Director and in a limited capacity for specialized projects.
