The Spontaneous Response: The Innovative Ceramics of Don Reitz art exhibition catalogue was designed for the Westmont Ridley-tree Museum of Art, Montecito, CA. This hardcover publication features a double-sided soft-touch dust jacket and textured paper cover to emulate the softness of the wet clay versus the leatherhard and once fired, unglazed clay. Inspired by his “happening” events and style to ceramic production, the catalogue looked to zine’s for inspiration and is printed on uncoated paper with black and white images of Don Reitz at work throughout. Additionally, this 106 page publication includes a gatefold, which showcases two of his large column works at a greater scale.
